PROGRAM

The facilities of the general changing rooms of the ATC required a reconditioning to update its equipment and solve leaks from its roof which, in turn, is a large terrace on the upper level.

The program included a new centralized access for the ladies and gentlemen’s changing rooms (reception, TV area, lockers, showers / baths, sauna, steam bath and massage room), and external accesses, independent for the guest bathrooms (ladies and gentlemen).

LOCKER ROOMS

The spaces were designed with both hygienic and visual cleanliness criteria. The locker panels are large carpentry surfaces, made by Leonardo Bettini, which enhance the perspectives accompanied by natural light.

The skylight is an architectural element that is used in this project to introduce centital light to both the interior spaces and the semi-exterior space of access to the changing rooms, whose materiality is composed of vegetation, stone and glass.

The design of the changing rooms was conceived from the concept of the Spa, a place where therapies, treatments and relaxing activities are offered, while also offering the possibility of interacting socially, sharing televised sporting events, etc.

PUBLIC SPACE

The roof of the changing rooms is a large balcony square that projects to the south of the city and from which much of the ATC facilities are perceived.

The pavement is made of emptied granite with a drawing that plays with the possibility of amero. From its surface emerge four similar volumes that serve as skylights to the interior spaces while functioning as benches, luminaires and planters for the open space.

This roof is in turn the most important public space offered by the FACILITIES of the ATC, a place where events, concerts, assemblies and all kinds of activities are scheduled both formal and informal.
